What the Media Won't Admit About the Massachusetts Election.

 by Diogenes Sarcastica

The election of Scott Brown has stunned and turned the left-wing media on it ear. No doubt, the win was a rout, a repudiation of Democrats and and some may say, Obama. In famously well-educated Massachusetts, it cannot be said that the voters were stupid. But in the bluest of the blue states, in the bluest region of the country, they said “enough”. Listening to the coverage of the election and thinking back and remembering supposedly knowledgeable and respectable commentators calling concerned law abiding  American Citizens, “town-hall terrorist” for speaking their minds and wanting to have their objections heard at town-hall meetings. Since when has participatory Democracy become a bad thing? I think no one would seriously believe the American media is any longer objective in any sense. Opinion now passes for news.

What the Media won't tell you, or admit at this point is that they did play an important roll in the loss of a traditional Democrat Senate seat. You see, the people you saw at those Tea Party Rallies, Town Hall gatherings and in the audiences at congressional committee meetings were your everyday, hard working American from all political parties, all races and both sides of the political spectrum. For months the media zeroed in on the few trouble makers, an occasional over the top sign, and in some cases people planted for the purpose of negative news coverage. What they didn't show was the true concern these people feel for the direction of their country. Instead, they immaturely made fun of, called them extremist, right-wing crazies, racist, and slurred them with titles like “Tea-Baggers”. Funny how that liberal tolerance thing goes right out the window when they don't agree.

What they failed to understand is the anger they helped stir in the people with their incessant name calling and smears while carrying the water for the Obama Administration and  with no shame openly being a mouth piece for a  liberal dominated congress. They actually helped create a populist backlash against unpopular policies. The Tea Party movement has been advocating the same principles that led to Scott Brown's victory yesterday.

And what Dumb Ass thought it a good idea to use the slur “Tea-bagger” in a state with Boston as the capital! Duh!

The media intelligentsia, high in there Ivory towers are revealing their ignorance of, or their contempt for, the concept of American self-governance. Who else do they think is supposed to have the power, just the elites ? It seems that some of  their insane rantings are demonstrating just that! And that same media is going into their spitting, poo flinging mode.........MSNBC's resident wackjob, Keith Olbermann who, inferred that the Brown win (or even a loss but a close race) meant that Massachusetts is suddenly full of racists. And in the same conversation, Howard Fineman, formerly of  of News Week said that things like Brown’s pickup truck are some sort of racist code. But then again, MSNBC thrives on its cable talent having low ratings. How else can you explain Olbermann, Maddow, Schultz or Matthews?

Massachusetts voters remember how the Democratic Party who once took their vote for granted as an entitlement, are now vilifying those voters for not handing the Senate seat over to their inadequate candidate...... Radical-left talk show host Mike Malloy said “You crazy sons-of-bitches, you right-wingers. Do you not understand that the people you hold up as heroes bombed your goddamn country?”

I say give them all more airtime!........and me thinks the November elections could be very interesting!
